Was back down east for the holiday weekend and had a chance to fish alittle friday afternoon in the Haw and also in Jordan on Saterday morning. We did ok in the river with one foul hooked "NC Bone fish" carp, few bream and 5 mid-sized white bass on in-line spinners and hard baits. Tough fishing overall due to the cold front and cooler rain we had recently. Water level and color were on our side in both the river and lake. Saturday morning fishing with my sister, we had a blast it was really beautiful day out. Managed to catch one nice random, fatty catfish on a crappie jig tipped with a minnow. Then we found a few tough crappie on jigs with minnows. Crappie seemed to be a little bit shallower, in my opinion we still have a couple weeks to go on the sping run for whitebass in the Haw... Seemed to just be starting..?
